چکیده

The subtle interplay of band topology and symmetry broken phase, induced by electron correlations, has immense contemporary relevance potentially offers novel physical insights. Here, we demonstrate charge density wave (CDW) in bulk Y$_2$Ir$_2$O$_7$ for T < 10 K, its transition to the Weyl semimetal (WSM) phase at higher temperatures. CDW is evidenced a) current nonlinear conductivity with negative differential resistance low temperature, b) frequency Debye like dielectric relaxation temperature a large constant, c) an anomaly dependence thermal expansion coefficient. WSM confirmed DC AC transport measurements which show inductive response frequencies. More interestingly, that reducing crystallite size, can be eliminated leading restoration phase.

Semimetal-to-semimetal charge density wave transition in 1T-TiSe(2).

We report an infrared study on 1T-TiSe(2), the parent compound of the newly discovered superconductor Cu(x)TiSe(2). Previous studies of this compound have not conclusively resolved whether it is a semimetal or a semiconductor-information that is important in determining the origin of its unconventional charge density wave (CDW) transition. Here we present optical spectroscopy results that clear...

Sn/Ge(111) surface charge-density-wave phase transition

Angle-resolved photoemission has been utilized to study the surface electronic structure of 1 / 3 monolayer of Sn on Ge(111) in both the room-temperature (sqrt[3]xsqrt[3] )R30 degrees phase and the low-temperature ( 3x3) charge-density-wave phase. The results reveal a gap opening around the ( 3x3) Brillouin zone boundary, suggesting a Peierls-like transition despite the well-documented lack of ...

Raman signatures of inversion symmetry breaking and structural phase transition in type-II Weyl semimetal MoTe2

Transition metal dichalcogenide MoTe2 is an important candidate for realizing the newly predicted type-II Weyl fermions, for which the breaking of the inversion symmetry is a prerequisite. Here we present direct spectroscopic evidence for the inversion symmetry breaking in the low-temperature phase of MoTe2 by systematic Raman experiments and first-principles calculations. We identify five latt...

Charge-density-wave phase slip in NbSe3

We have studied the phase-slip process by which charge-density-wave (CDW) current is converted to single-particle current at electrical contacts. Transport and X-ray scattering measurements indicate that an excess voltage Vps dropped between current contacts induces a large static deformation of the CDW phase. The measured Vpsand temperature-dependent phase-slip rates are consistent with a mode...
